Bonds are a way to either have growth or an income, traditionally it was what all people did with their retirement tax free cash. Bonds can be as simple or complicated as the providers want them to be, they can be written in trust so that there is a possibility that they do not form part of your estate for Inheritance Tax and yet still give you an income. Bonds can be on shore and off shore.  The taxation of bonds is complicated and not always suitable for you, if in doubt about a bond you have or wish to buy come and talk to us and we will give you non biased advice.
